We have some options in South Carolina.
The first one is: The Secretary of State in South Carolina allows a person can sign using a mark. The mark can be an X, smiley face or whatever the signer chooses. The mark that the signer chooses just needs to be consistent throughout the documents (if they are signing more than once).
The second option is : You can designate another person to sign on your behalf.
