Initially, the Notary Hub ClubHouse room (10.30.2021) was supposed to be an announcement about the new Clubhouse changes. It ended up being a social media room concerning hashtags.

WHAT ARE HASHTAGS?

The easy way to explain is hashtags are a digital filing system. I'm old school, so let's go with this analogy for a minute. Imagine you are have a system that allows you to file pictures, or videos. EXAMPLE: I'm going to Greenville Memorial Hospital and I am doing a POA. I would take a video of me walking to the door of the hospital. I would write a caption for my REEL/TIK TOK.

If I don't use a hashtag, how will this be found in the social media atmosphere.

Example os Hashtags for that image is.. #Greenvillenotary ( WHO I AM) #greenvilleMemorial (where I am) #ElderCareAdvice

The rank of preferential treatment goes like this.. VIDEO, PICTURES, WORDS.

WHY USE HASHTAGS?

• For Identification Purpose-

Using #s will allow you to be found on social media platforms

You want to be seen by your TARGET AUDIENCE. Without using a hashtag, you are a goldfish in the ocean. When you narrow down and niche your hashtags, you become the shark in a fish bowl.

STAMP THIS: You want to niche down. For example, you are the POA queen at GREENVILLE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL You would want to use the following #GreenvilleMemorialHospital

WHERE DO I USE A HASHTAG?

Hashtags are used on all social platforms, except Clubhouse.

Where do i put the hashtag when posting?

Let's talk about Instagram, for now. It looks like, I may have to revisit this topic for Facebook and Twitter.

In this post, the end user (ME) used a hashtag in the post. This can be done. It usually isn't aesthetically pleasing. However, I only used 1. You can use it, how I have. Most people don't recommend it this way but I think it is ok. If you are going to use more. See Example below:

In the example above, I waited until the image posted. Then, I made a comment to include the hashtags that would target the audience who I wish to attract.

These hashtags are all ones that a notary would use or search. You should be searching for other notaries in order to collaborate and connect.

When should you use a hashtag?

On EVERY POST!

Who should be using a Hashtag?

Everybody!!!! From the person who is trying to grow their following to the notary who teaches specialty classes.

If you are trying to grow your following, click on the hashtags and places that interest you and make a meaningful comment.

If you are trying to gain new students in your specialty class, use #hashtags that will draw in your students archetype.
